Red zebrafish reproduction is oviparous. During the breeding period, male and female fish over 5 months old are put into the breeding tank, the water temperature is maintained at about 25 C, and they can reproduce naturally without disturbing them. During reproduction, the females release their eggs into the water, while the males fertilize them beforehand. After receiving fertilized eggs, small fish can be hatched.
Put the fertilized eggs laid by red zebrafish into the water at about 24 ℃, and they can naturally hatch into small fish after 2-3 days. If the water temperature can be raised to 28 degrees Celsius, it will only take about 36 hours for them to hatch. The newly hatched fish do not need to be fed. After about a week, they can be fed with egg yolk water.
Red zebrafish has a strong reproductive capacity. After their sexual function is fully mature, they can reproduce about every 7 days or so. Generally, they can reproduce 6-7 times a year. However, in the actual breeding time, it is not recommended to let them breed frequently, because this will lead to genetic deterioration of offspring. Generally, it is OK to breed 1-2 times a month. In addition, during the breeding period, attention should be paid to increasing nutrition for parent fish.
