The difficulty of raising an Australian arowana is moderate. They have certain requirements for water temperature, water quality and other environmental conditions, but as long as they are carefully taken care of, they can still be well maintained. The temperament of this fish is more irritable, if it is just beginning to raise the novice arowana, or recommend starting from the silver arowana.
1, water tank: The Australian star point dragon's body size is relatively large, adult body length can grow to more than 50cm. When breeding, it is recommended to use a larger fish tank, the best length is more than 120 cm, the best width is more than 60 cm, and the best height is more than 80 cm. If you are breeding small young fish, you can use a smaller tank. But when they grow up, they need to change bigger tanks in time.
2. Water temperature: The Australian star point dragon is a tropical fish, mainly living in eastern Australia and northern Australia. When they are bred, they need to use heating rods to maintain the temperature of the water in the water tank between 24 and 28 degrees Celsius. The water temperature should not be too low, or they will grow poorly.
3. Water quality: They like soft water with a hardness of 3-12 and neutral water with a PH value of 6.5-7.5. Water that meets these conditions should be used when breeding. In addition, water should be changed every three days to prevent water deterioration. Every time you change the water, you can change one third of the water, not all of the water.
4. Feeding: They have a large appetite. When they are raised, they are fed 2-3 times a day. Because they are carnivorous fish, they should be fed with meat, such as shrimp, small fish, cockroaches, barley worms, mealworms and so on. The amount of feeding should not be too much, should let them eat within 20 minutes.
