Household fish tank is best to filter at the bottom. The water purification effect of bottom filtration is very powerful, and a large number of filtration devices can be placed to make the water quality more stable. Moreover, the bottom filter often has a large storage tank, so even if the water quality fluctuates, it can be buffered by the water tank below. With this kind of filtration, it is not only no problem to raise small fish, but also large and medium-sized fish.
1. Upper filtering: The upper filter is generally placed on the upper part of the water tank. It can pump water into the upper filtering tank through a submersible pump. After passing through the filter cotton, biochemical cotton and various filter materials, the water flows back through the water pipe at the bottom. This filter structure is simple and easy to maintain, but it will occupy the upper space, and sometimes even deform the fish tank.
2. Drip filtration: Drip filtration is also called trickle-flow filtration, which integrates physical filtration and biological filtration. The filter tank is divided into several layers. The upper layer is physical filtration, which contains filter cotton and biochemical cotton. The lower layer is filled with filter materials such as biochemical balls and bacteria houses. This filtering works well, but takes up too much space and is not very aesthetically pleasing.
3. Outer filter barrel: The outer filter barrel is a sealed filter device. There are several layers in the outer filter barrel. Each layer has a filter material. The water pump makes the water flow through each layer of filter material continuously, so that the water can be filtered circularly. Although it occupies a small space and is easy to install, the filtering effect is really general, and cleaning is also cumbersome.
