It usually takes three days for the newly bought fish to get out of the dangerous period. The reason why there is a three-day dangerous period is that the fish are prone to stress reactions in the first three days, and if they can't survive, they will die directly. However, it should be noted that even out of the dangerous period, it can not be said that the fish is no problem, only a week of normal, in order to ensure that it can survive.
1. Do not feed: When the fish is in danger, do not feed it. Because at this time the fish are still more afraid, not familiar with the surrounding environment, so after feeding will also appear the phenomenon of not eating. The residual bait in the water will be decomposed by microorganisms, thus turning into ammonia nitrogen, which will poison the fish, causing it to survive the dangerous period.
2. Do not change the water: The newly bought fish cannot change the water frequently. It is already in the stage of adapting to the water body. Once the water is changed, it will be stimulated, causing it to need to re-adapt. Repeated water changes may also be dangerous, causing the fish to die. Therefore, there is no need to change water in the dangerous period, and the first water change can be carried out one week after entering the tank.
3, do not disturb: In addition to not feeding and changing water, usually do not disturb the fish, any disturbance, including light and sound, may affect its health, or even lead to its death, so as far as possible to let it rest.
