Pippi shrimp can't be fed in fresh water, because they live in seawater and are mainly distributed in warm sea areas, which have completely adapted to seawater environment. If Pippi shrimps are put in fresh water, it is difficult for them to adapt to the fresh water environment. Under normal circumstances, if Pippi shrimps are put in fresh water, they will die if they persist for about one hour at most. If there is no seawater, some sea salt or seawater essence can be added to fresh water, so that the shrimp can survive.
2. How to cultivate Pippi shrimp1. Water quality: As mentioned above, Pippi shrimp is a marine organism, and seawater is needed to cultivate them. If conditions permit, it is best to choose natural seawater. If natural seawater is not available, some sea salt or seawater essence can be added to fresh water. If you want to cultivate in large quantities, you still need to choose a location close to the ocean.
2. Water temperature: Pippi shrimp likes to grow in a warm environment, and it is necessary to keep the water temperature above 20 ℃ during artificial culture. If the water temperature is low, they may have more discomfort and death.
3. Feeding: Pippi shrimp can eat more food, and some earthworms, animal viscera, minced meat and so on can be fed during artificial breeding. You can feed it twice a day, and the best time for each feeding is early morning and evening.
4. Oxygen: Pippi shrimp needs more oxygen, and an oxygen pump needs to be installed during artificial culture, so as to ensure sufficient oxygen in water. However, the oxygen content does not need to be too high, just keep it at 5ml per liter of water.
