To breed the Brazilian red-eared turtles, they need to enter the age of sexual maturity before they can do so, because only after sexual maturity can the female turtles have the ability to lay eggs. Specifically, the age at which female turtles reach sexual maturity is not certain. Generally speaking, the female tortoises that have been bred for 3-5 years begin to have the ability to lay eggs. That is to say, female turtles with early sexual maturity also need to be bred for about three years before they can lay eggs. Some mature female turtles are not sexually mature after more than five years of breeding.
1. Water depth: The newborn turtle cannot live in a deep water environment. It can live in shallow water or in a slightly humid environment. Growing in deep water, hatchlings can suffocate and die.
2. Water quality: Newborn turtles are sensitive to the surrounding environment. Therefore, if the water quality is dirty, then the turtles are prone to illness. Even in shallow water aquaculture, water quality needs to be guaranteed and the water should not be too dirty.
3. Feeding: Newborn turtles do not need to be fed. They can be fed after two or three days. However, not all foods can be, do not feed too greasy food at first, you can buy some dried red nematodes to feed. The amount of feeding also needs to be strictly controlled, not too much, and the remaining food in the water should be cleaned up in time.
4. Sunbathing: You don't need to bask in the sun for a few days after birth, but you can start to bask in the sun for a long time, and you can't let too strong light shine on them.
