Although the European swamp turtle is distributed in China, its distribution range is not very wide on the whole. It is a rare species in China, and the number of artificially raised turtles is relatively small. In fact, the breeding of European sea turtles is not too difficult. Their adaptability to the environment is good, for example, they have a certain degree of cold tolerance, in winter without special treatment, let them hibernate naturally on the line. Moreover, they are not picky eaters, can eat a lot of food, better feeding. Therefore, in general, their breeding is not very difficult.
1. Space: When raising the European sea turtle, the first thing to consider is the size of the space. Although European swamp turtles are not particularly large, they need enough space to move around. In addition, in the wild living environment of European sea turtles, there will be many green plants, so if they are raised artificially, they can also grow some, which is more like the natural environment, so that they can adapt as soon as possible.
2. Feeding: This kind of turtle is easy to feed, because they are omnivorous and not picky about food. When feeding, you can combine meat and vegetarian food, not just one kind. Meat has fish and shrimp, mealworms, red worms, shellfish and so on, vegetarian vegetables, aquatic plants and so on. When they grow up, they prefer vegetarian food and can pay attention to regulation. Then there is the frequency of feeding, which can be twice a day in the juvenile stage, then once a day or two, but the amount of feeding should be slightly more.
3. Water temperature: The water temperature requirement of the European swamp turtle is not particularly high. Their appetite and activity are good at about 16 degrees, but the most suitable water temperature is about 22 degrees, so you can pay a little attention to it.
4. Water level: The water quality of the European swamp turtle is also good. If it is raised artificially, it can be raised in deep water. But when they are small, the water can be a little shallower.
