To raise goldfish, you need to put some sea salt, because putting salt can sterilize and eliminate bacteria in water, thus reducing the probability of goldfish getting sick. Sea salt is naturally produced salt, which is different from edible salt. It will not affect their health when used by goldfish, so it is more appropriate for breeders to put sea salt in goldfish. In addition, adding sea salt can also improve the vitality of goldfish and make their mood and spirit more stable.
If there is enough nitrifying bacteria in the fish tank, it is ok for the breeder not to put sea salt into them. Because salt can't kill bacteria directly, but depends on adjusting osmotic pressure to make bacteria unable to survive, it is ok not to add salt if there are enough nitrifying bacteria in fish tanks.
2. How much salt is appropriate for goldfishThe amount of salt for goldfish needs to be determined according to the amount of water they live in. Under normal feeding, it is best to control the concentration of salt for goldfish between one thousandth and three thousandths. If they are sick or the breeder wants to sterilize them, five thousandths of salt can be added.
The concentration of salt should not be too high for goldfish, otherwise it may cause the body color of goldfish to fade. After a long time, the osmotic pressure in the fish tank will be on the high side, and the water in goldfish will gradually lose, eventually leading to death.
