Guppy can add some hot water when changing water, because hot water can raise the water temperature in the fish tank and make their living environment warmer and more comfortable. Although hot water can be added when changing water for guppies, breeders should not add too much hot water. Because the temperature of new water is too high, there will be a big difference between new water and old water. Although guppies have low requirements for water temperature, they are sensitive to temperature changes, and too large temperature difference may cause them more discomfort. Breeders should pay attention when adding hot water, and the temperature difference between new water and old water should not exceed 3 ℃ at most.

1. Prepare before changing the water: Before changing the water, the breeder should first expose the water to be changed to the sun for 2-3 days. This can eliminate chlorine in water and avoid affecting the health of guppy.

2. Water exchange: Guppy does not have high requirements for the environment, but it is still sensitive to environmental changes. Breeders should pay attention to changing water quantity to avoid more discomfort caused by excessive fluctuation of water quality. Under normal circumstances, it is best for breeders to control the amount of water they change at a time to one third of the total amount of water.

3. Frequency of changing water: The breeder should change water for guppy and control the frequency of changing water. Their pollution to water quality is not serious, and breeders only need to change water once every 3-5 days. If the filter is installed, the water can be changed every 7 days or so.
