Although map fish have low requirements for water quality, they are sensitive to the change of water quality. When farming artificially, it is necessary to keep the water quality stable. When changing water at ordinary times, we should pay attention to the amount of water changed, and it is best to control the amount of water changed at one quarter of the total amount of water. The metabolic speed of map fish is relatively high, so it is best for breeders to clean up food residues and feces in fish tanks regularly to slow down the deterioration of water quality. Filters can also be installed to keep the water clean.

Map fish do not have high requirements for water temperature. Although they are tropical fish, they have strong cold resistance and high temperature resistance. Map fish can survive in water temperatures between 14 and 32 ℃, but the most suitable water temperature for their growth is between 22 and 26 ℃. Because they are tropical fish, only in a warm environment can they develop better.

Breeders usually need to keep the water temperature between 22-26 ℃. If conditions permit, it is best to install a heating rod to keep the water temperature constant. When changing water at ordinary times, pay attention to the temperature difference between new water and old water not exceeding 2 ℃.
