It is difficult to raise Sulawesi shrimp, and it is not particularly easy to raise. They like weak alkaline water, and if the water quality is not up to standard, they can not grow normally. When culturing, bottom filtration or other filtration devices are needed to ensure water quality. In addition, they are only suitable for single cultivation in grass tanks, not for group cultivation, nor for naked tank cultivation.
1. Water tank: Sulawesi shrimp is suitable for monoculture. The length of the water tank can be more than 60cm, and the width and height can be more than 40cm. Such a tank can provide enough space for shrimp to grow. If fish and shrimp are to be mixed, larger tanks should be used and shrimp nests should be prevented from providing shelter.
2. Water quality: Sulawesi shrimps like weakly alkaline water and are suitable for growing in water with a PH value between 7.5 and 8.0. The hardness of water needs to be maintained at about 14, and the TDS value needs to be maintained between 400 and 900. Such water is more suitable for their growth.
3. Water temperature: Sulawesi shrimp is suitable for growing in water with a temperature of about 28 ℃. They are more sensitive to cold, and it is recommended to use heating rods to maintain water temperature in winter to prevent them from freezing.
4. Water plants: When breeding, it is recommended to spread some special mud for aquarium at the bottom of the tank, and plant some water plants on it. It's good for them to lay eggs.
5. Feeding: They are mainly fed by green algae, and can also eat microorganisms in the water. At first, they can be fed with green algae powder or green algae debris, and when they grow up, they can be fed with artificial shrimp food.
