2. Plant feed: Crucian carp can also eat some plant feed, such as corn, wheat, rice, bread crumbs, vegetables, fruits and so on. These foods are high in starch and vitamins, which can strengthen their physique and reduce the probability of illness.

3. Synthetic feed: Breeders can also feed crucian carp with some synthetic feeds, which are rich in nutrients and can ensure their comprehensive nutrition. However, synthetic feed is not easy to digest, so breeders need to feed it regularly and quantitatively.

Carassius auratus can be fed 1-2 times a day, and the feeding frequency is different in different growth stages. Juvenile crucian carp needs to be fed twice a day, but the amount of each feeding should not be too much, and it can be controlled at 70% full. When they are adults, they can be fed once a day instead, and it is best to control the amount of each feeding at 80% full. If the water temperature is low or their feeding condition is not good, the breeder can also feed them once every two days instead.
