First of all, we should pay attention to changing water when raising koi fish. This kind of fish has a close relationship with carp, and its requirements for water quality are relatively broad. However, changing water regularly to maintain water quality can also reduce the possibility of fish getting sick. Usually, it should be changed every five to seven days, and the water should not exceed one third of the total water volume every time.
2. Pay attention to oxygenationKoi is a large ornamental fish. Because of its large size, it consumes more oxygen, so it is necessary to pay attention to oxygenation. In the daily feeding process, it is best to use an oxygen pump to oxygenate 24 hours a day and turn it on at night, so as to prevent fish from floating.
3. Feed properlyBecause koi carp has no stomach, it digests quickly, and it can hardly feed enough, so it will eat as much as it feeds. However, this is not good for the health of fish, and it is easy to get enteritis and other diseases. Moreover, a large amount of residual bait falls in the water, which will also pollute the water and cause fish to get sick. In the daily feeding process, pay attention to a small number of times, and ensure that each feeding is finished within 5 minutes.
IV. Disease preventionAlthough koi carp has strong adaptability and does not require high water temperature, it is easy to get sick when the temperature is low. For example, white spot disease and water mold disease are easy to get in low temperature environment, so it is best to control some water temperature at ordinary times to avoid too low temperature. In addition, anything entering the fish tank should be disinfected in advance to prevent germs from being brought into the tank.
