Although the water quality will not change much after power failure, the water temperature may fluctuate greatly. Especially in winter, if the heating rod stops working, the water temperature in the fish tank will drop sharply.

When the water temperature is lower than 20 ℃, arowana will have a lot of discomfort. When the water temperature is lower than 16 ℃, they may die directly. Besides the water temperature, it is difficult for the oxygen in the fish tank to last for 24 hours. If Arowana suffers from lack of oxygen, it will also die directly. When raising arowana, it is best not to lose power for too long. Although some arowana can persist in survival, it will have a certain impact on their health.

1. Keep the water temperature constant: After power failure, the breeder should first keep the water temperature stable to avoid sudden change of water temperature causing Arowana discomfort. In the absence of heating rods, breeders can fill plastic bottles with hot water and put them into fish tanks, which can keep the water temperature constant. However, it is necessary to replace new hot water in time, otherwise the cold water temperature will become lower.

2. Install AC/DC oxygen pump: The breeder can prepare an AC/DC oxygen pump, which can work normally even after power failure. In this way, there is no need to worry about lack of oxygen in short-term power outages. You can also buy a battery-type oxygen pump, which can also supply oxygen to the fish tank normally.
