Parrot fish's eye protrusion may be caused by convex eye disease, which mainly occurs in tropical ornamental fish. Although the incidence rate is relatively low, it is difficult to treat and the probability of death is relatively high. The main cause of this disease is that the water quality is too poor, and parrot fish can eat and pull, which seriously pollutes the water quality. If the breeder does not strengthen the filtration or change the water in time, bacteria will easily breed in the water.
After parrot fish suffer from convex eye disease, their eyes will protrude outward and the periphery of their orbits will turn white. It is usually accompanied by redness and loss of appetite around the eyes.
2. How to treat parrot fish's eye protrusionAs mentioned above, parrot fish's eye protrusion may be caused by protruding eye disease, and breeders need to change water immediately after finding parrot fish sick. As long as the water quality is clean and refreshing, the rate of disease deterioration can be reduced. After replacing with new water, the breeder needs to add crude salt to the fish tank, which can inhibit the growth of bacteria. If the water temperature is raised to 30 ℃, most bacteria will die in high temperature environment. If the parrot fish is seriously ill, the breeder needs to add penicillin or chlortetracycline to the fish tank. You can also choose to clean the eyes of sick fish with low concentration potassium permanganate solution.
