Siraitia grosvenorii is a tropical medium-sized fish, which is not the product of nature, and is an ornamental fish that has been improved and bred by human beings after many times of hybridization. They are relatively difficult to raise because they need to live in a higher water temperature. Newborn Siraitia grosvenorii needs to grow in water temperature above 30 ℃. Although they don't need too high water temperature in adulthood, breeders should control it at about 28 ℃, and the lowest temperature should not be lower than 24 ℃.
After winter, it is best for breeders to transfer them to warm rooms. If the indoor temperature is not enough, it is recommended to install heating rods to keep the water temperature constant.
2. What water does Siraitia grosvenorii likeSiraitia grosvenorii like neutral and alkaline water, and breeders can keep the PH value between 6.0 and 7.8. If conditions permit, it is recommended to put volcanic rocks or coral sand at the bottom of the tank to stabilize the water quality.
In addition, they like clean and refreshing water, but their metabolism is faster. It is best for breeders to change their water once every 3-7 days. The amount of water change each time should not be too large, and should be controlled at one third of the total amount of water. When changing water, pay attention to the temperature difference between new water and old water not exceeding 2 ℃. When injecting fresh water, it should be as slow as possible to avoid the water hitting the fish and causing them to have stress reaction. If conditions permit, it is recommended that breeders install a filter to reduce the frequency of water change.
