Different species of betta reproduce, because they are all one species of fish, but they are divided into many different species because of their different shapes and colors. But in fact, they are all the same kind of fish, so there is no problem of reproductive isolation, and they can reproduce.

If breeders want to breed different species of betta fish, they should be careful not to have too much difference in size. When breeding, the female fish should be one tenth larger than the male fish, so that the female fish is not easy to be bullied.

1. Prepare to breed: Before betta breeds, male fish will spit out bubbles continuously to build bubbles. The belly of the female fish will also become bigger, and its temperament will become extremely irritable.

2. Breeding: Male fish will dance a courtship dance to attract the attention of female fish, and male fish and female fish will chase each other after successful pairing. When chasing, the male fish will wrap the female fish's body with his wide tail, and squeeze the female fish's abdomen to help them lay eggs. After the female fish lays eggs, the male fish will let go of the female fish and inseminate themselves.

3. Hatching: After successful insemination, the male fish will put their eggs in the built bubble nest and wait for the eggs to hatch. During the incubation period, the male fish will always guard and repair the bubble nest. They don't leave until the small fish hatch successfully.
