It takes only 1-2 hours for betta fish to reproduce after successful pairing. Of course, there are also some betta fish that breed for the first time, which takes longer, about 3-4 hours. Their reproduction process is not complicated, because they are oviparous fish and fertilized in vitro. During reproduction, the female fish first produces eggs, and then the male fish excretes sperm. Before laying eggs, males and females will chase each other, and reproduction will be completed in the process of chasing.

The breeding process of betta fish is not complicated. They belong to oviparous fish, and they are all fertilized and developed in vitro. 2. How do betta breed artificially

1. Prepare breeding environment: When betta breeds, breeders need to prepare a separate breeding tank for them, and the water temperature in the tank should be kept between 26-27 ℃ and the water depth should be kept above 10 cm.

2. Male fish into the tank: Breeders need to choose male fish over 5 months and keep them in the breeding tank for 2-3 days, so that they can spit bubbles and build nests in the breeding tank. After waiting for 3 days, the female fish can be put into the breeding tank. If the male fish and the female fish do not fight, it means that the pairing is successful.

3. Reproduction: The male fish and the female fish start to reproduce after successful pairing. During reproduction, the female fish will first produce eggs, and then the male fish will come forward to inseminate. After successful insemination, the eggs will become fertilized eggs.

4. Hatching: After reproduction, the breeder needs to fish out the female fish first. Male fish stay in the breeding tank to take care of their eggs. As long as the water temperature and water quality are stable, the eggs can hatch successfully in about 2 days.
