Arowana can feed both sea shrimp and freshwater shrimp. They don't have too high requirements for shrimp species. Ordinary river shrimp and sea shrimp can be fed to them. However, it is recommended not to feed shrimps for a long time, because most shrimps are transported after freezing, and freshwater shrimps are fresher. If the area where arowana is raised is in coastal areas, it is also ok to feed shrimp.
Arowana feed sea shrimp or freshwater shrimp, what food can you still feed 1. Arowana can feed sea shrimp or freshwater shrimp

Arowana can feed sea shrimp or freshwater shrimp. They are not picky about the types of shrimp, such as common sea shrimp, river shrimp, prawn, grass shrimp and metapenaeus ensis. Although they are not picky about the species of prawns, it is not recommended to feed sea prawns all the time. Because sea shrimp is transported inland after freezing treatment, its freshness is not as good as that of river shrimp. Of course, if the breeder's area is coastal, it is ok to feed shrimp.

2. What other foods can Arowana feed

1. Animal feed: Arowana is a carnivorous animal. In addition to shrimp, breeders can also feed them some live bait such as small goldfish, red worms, loaches and tadpoles, and can also feed some insects such as cockroaches, grasshoppers and crickets, or feed some lean meat and animal viscera. These foods contain more protein and fat, which can meet most of the nutrients needed for their daily development. Although these foods have high nutritional value, breeders need sterilization before feeding to avoid parasite and bacterial infection. Live bait like loach is best chopped and fed.

2. Synthetic feed: There are many synthetic arowana feeds on the market now, which are determined according to the habits of arowana. In artificial breeding, synthetic feed can also be used as their staple food. However, synthetic feed is not easy to digest, so breeders should pay attention to the amount of feeding when feeding.
