The water depth for rearing turtles is related to the species and size of turtles, usually about 5-10 cm. For small turtles, the water should not be too deep. Even deep-water turtles should control the depth during their young turtles to avoid choking. Adult turtles can be raised with slightly higher water, but under normal circumstances, they can be raised without their backs. In addition, it is best to have a place to go ashore in the turtle jar, so that it can have a rest when it is tired of swimming.

1. Pig-nosed turtles: Pig-nosed turtles are highly aquatic turtles, which are very good at swimming and only go ashore when laying eggs. It prefers warm climate and is afraid of cold. The water temperature for breeding should be kept at about 26-28 ℃. It should be noted that this turtle is naturally fond of fighting, so it must not be mixed.

2. Musk turtle: Musk turtle is a relatively small turtle. It pays attention to inhabit ponds, streams and lakes, usually lives in shallow water, and eats miscellaneous food, but prefers to eat animal bait. This kind of turtle should not be raised in deep water at first, but the water level can be raised slowly, so that it can adapt to deep water.

3. Razor Turtle: Razor Turtle is also a typical deep-water turtle, which does not need to bask in its back frequently, so the water level can be higher. However, in the period of young turtles, do not use deep water to raise them, and it is best to provide a landing site in the container, so that they can go ashore without wasting their physical strength by swimming all the time.
