Thai betta fish cannot be raised together with guppies. Although they are small tropical fish, they are not suitable for raising together because of their different personalities, habits and living habits.
First of all, their personalities are different. Guppies are gentle in character and generally do not take the initiative to attack other fish. The character of Thai fighting fish is fierce and aggressive. When they are raised together, guppy is easily bullied.
Secondly, they are different in size. Although they are all small tropical fish, guppies are small in size, and their body length is mostly about 5-8 cm in adulthood. Thai betta fish is too large, and its body length is about 10 cm in adulthood. When they are mixed together, guppies can not only get food, but also be bullied.
There is also the difference in water quality between guppy and Thai betta. Guppy prefers to live in weakly alkaline water, while Thai betta prefers to live in neutral water. They have different requirements on water quality, so they are not suitable for raising together.
2. Can Thai betta fish be raised in groupsIf it is a female Thai betta fish, it can be raised together. Because they are relatively mild in character and rarely have conflicts, breeders can put them together at an early age, so that they can avoid fighting when they grow up.
If it is a male Thai betta fish, it is not recommended to keep it together. Because of their aggressive character, especially the fighting between two males often occurs, it is best to keep them alone.
