1. Reason: Thai betta fish lying in the tank may be caused by the low water temperature. They belong to tropical fish and grow at a high temperature. If the water temperature for raising them is too low, they will lie in the tank.
2. Solution: Breeders can add some fresh water with higher temperature, or use heating rods to raise the water temperature above 25 ℃. When raising Thai betta fish daily, the water temperature can be kept between 25-28 ℃.
2. Adjust the water quality1. Reason: It is also possible that Thai betta fish lie in the tank because the water quality they live in is too poor. If the water quality they raise is too poor, it will affect their activity and appetite, and they are prone to bacterial infection.
2. Solution: Breeders need to change water immediately to ensure clean water quality. However, the amount of water change should not be too large, and should not exceed one third of the total amount of water at most. If conditions permit, filters can be installed to slow down the deterioration of water quality.
3. Reduce the illumination1. Reason: Thai betta fish may lie prone on the tank because the illumination on the upper layer of the tank is too strong. Although proper light can help them add color, if the sunlight is too strong, they will lie prone on the bottom of the tank.
2. Solution: Breeders can properly shade when the sun is shining violently. If it is convenient, they can plant some duckweed or aquatic plants in containers to shade.
IV. Symptomatic treatment1. Reason: Thai betta fish lying in the tank may also be caused by illness, and the common ones are enteritis, cold or bacterial infection.
2. Solution: Breeders need symptomatic treatment according to their condition. If the situation is serious, it is recommended to send them to pet hospital for treatment.
