How to raise and feed razor egg turtles 1. How to raise the razor egg turtle

1. Water temperature: The razor egg turtle likes a higher water temperature, and the breeder needs to keep the water temperature between 25-30 ℃. Because in this temperature range, their appetite and activity are the highest, and their growth speed is also the fastest.

2. Water quality: Razor egg turtles are not strict in water quality, but they prefer to live in weakly acidic water. If conditions permit, the water quality can be kept weakly acidic. Of course, they can also survive in neutral and weakly alkaline water quality.

3. Water level: Razor egg turtles like to survive in deep water. When breeding artificially, breeders need to adjust the height of water level according to their water level. In general, the water level of razor egg turtle is 2-3 times the height of carapace.

4. Hibernation: Razor egg turtles generally do not hibernate when they are in their place of origin, and breeders should try not to let them hibernate when they are farmed artificially. If you want them to hibernate, you also need to keep the water temperature at about 10 ℃.

2. How to feed the razor egg turtle

1. Feed food: There is a protruding ridge on the carapace of the razor egg turtle, so the breeder needs to feed them more foods with high calcium content. For example, small fish, shrimp, loach, tadpoles, snails, etc., which can supplement calcium for them. You can also match some cabbages, apples, bananas, cucumbers, wax gourd and so on.

2. Feeding amount: The first year of razor egg turtles is the key stage of their growth and development. Breeders can feed them once a day, and each time they are 80% full. When they reach adulthood, they can choose to feed them once every 2-3 days, and each time they are fed to 70% full.

3. Feeding method: Razor egg turtles like to move in deep water, and breeders should put food in water when feeding. If conditions permit, they can be fed some sinking feed.
