There are many reasons for Brazilian tortoises to suffer from white eye disease. The common reason is that the water quality is too poor. If the breeder does not change the water for a long time or the breeding density is too high, they will suffer from white eye disease. Also, the alkalinity in the water is too high, which will also stimulate their eyes and cause discomfort. In addition, if eyes are not treated in time after injury, they will easily be infected with white eye disease.

After I get white eye disease, I can decide the treatment method according to their condition. If the white eye disease is not serious, I can first use antibiotics or eye drops to wash the sick eyes in large quantities, then fish them out, raise them on land, and finally apply chlortetracycline.
