The body length of adult snapping turtles is mostly between 30-70 cm, but how big they can grow in adulthood depends on their living environment and species. There are two species of crocodile turtles, namely, big crocodile turtles and small crocodile turtles. Crocodile turtles are larger in size in adulthood, about 60-70 cm. Small snapping turtles are small in size, and their body length is between 30-45 cm in adulthood.

In addition to species, the environment in which they live also has a great influence on their body shape. Crocodile turtles are not only large, but also highly active, so breeders need to ensure that they have enough living space so that their body size can develop to normal standards. If there is not enough feeding space, their body size will develop smaller.

Crocodile turtles reproduce about one year after maturity, and it takes about 3-4 years from birth to maturity. Of course, if the breeding environment is comfortable and the food and nutrition are sufficient, the crocodile turtle may mature in about 2 years. Although they mature earlier, it is not recommended that breeders let them reproduce immediately. Because they just mature soon, if they reproduce immediately, it will not only affect the health of crocodile turtles themselves, but also the quality and quantity of reproduction are not ideal. Therefore, when crocodile turtles are adults, it is best to wait for one year before breeding.
