Leatherback turtles are sea turtles because they like to live in the middle and upper layers of tropical waters, and most leatherback turtles live in the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. Of course, there are very few people living in shallow sea or harbor waters. They belong to leatherback turtle family, leatherback turtle genus and leatherback turtle species, which are typical turtles and common turtles in China.

Leatherback turtles belong to temperature-changing animals, and they can adjust their temperature by their own constitution. No matter where they originate, they can maintain their body temperature as long as the water temperature is between 7 and 25 ℃. If the temperature is relatively high, they will increase the blood flow to the end, so that they can quickly dissipate heat.

Leatherback turtles need to be raised in seawater, because they are sea turtles, always live in seawater, and they can swim in the sea for a long time and quickly, and they also need to be raised in seawater when they are farmed artificially. If there is no seawater, sea salt can also be added to the water to simulate the seawater environment.

Leatherback turtles are now under national and international protection. Due to over-exploitation, a large number of leatherback turtles have died of white garbage in the sea. If leatherback turtles have no other functions, it is recommended to put them back into the sea.
