The time for yellow-eared turtles to bask in the sun can be adjusted according to the temperature and season. If it is summer, the time for basking in the sun can be controlled within one hour. Because of the high temperature in summer, dehydration or heatstroke may occur if you spend too much time in the sun. If it is autumn and winter, the time to bask in the sun can be controlled within 1-2 hours. Because the temperature is low in autumn and winter, more sun exposure can speed up their metabolism, so the sun exposure time can be longer. Although yellow-eared turtles prefer to bask in the sun, the breeder should not give them more than 2 hours to bask in the sun, otherwise they will feel uncomfortable.
