2. How to raise crocodile turtles1. Water temperature and water quality: Crocodile turtles do not have high requirements on the environment. In the usual breeding process, as long as the water temperature is kept between 20-33 ℃, they can survive well. Moreover, their requirements for water quality are not high, and breeders only need to ensure that the water quality is clean. If conditions permit, filters can be installed to slow down the deterioration of water quality.
2. Feeding: Crocodile turtles are not picky about food, and they can eat many kinds of food. Breeders can use animal feed with plant feed, so as to ensure their balanced nutrition. The animal feed suitable for snapping turtles is small fish, shrimp, lean meat, animal viscera, insects, shellfish, snails and so on. Plant feeds suitable for them include cabbage, rape, lettuce, lettuce, apples, bananas and so on.
Water level: Although crocodile turtles can live in deep water, the suitable water level varies at different stages. Generally speaking, young crocodile turtles are more suitable for moving in shallow water. You can move in deep water after adulthood, but the water level should not be too deep, and the maximum should not exceed 3 times of the carapace.
