The requirements of Chinese grass turtles on water quality are not particularly high. Under normal living conditions, breeders can change water for them once every 3-5 days. The feeding frequency of Chinese grass turtles depends on their growth stage. If they are young grass turtles, they can be fed once a day. Because the young Chinese grass turtles have a great demand for food nutrition, the breeders need to feed them in small quantities for many times, so as to ensure their adequate nutrition.

When they are adults, the frequency of feeding can be reduced, about once every 3 days. Because they don't need much nutrition as adults, as long as the food they feed can meet their daily needs.
