A gecko is not a tiger. Gecko is a reptile and a special lizard. The skin at the toe end of its claws is wrinkled, so it can climb on walls and other places. As an animal that comes out at night, it often hides in cracks during the day and comes out for food at night. If you raise it artificially, you can feed it some insects to ensure its healthy development, and pay attention to keeping the temperature.
2. How to raise gecko1. Feeding container: To raise gecko, you need to put it in a feeding box, which is usually made of glass, so it is convenient to observe its state. It is necessary to lay pads inside, and prepare heating pads, water basins and food basins, etc. In addition, lighting equipment is needed. The feeding box should be divided into several areas, so that it has a place to move, rest and bask in the sun.
2. Temperature control: As a temperature-changing animal, gecko is not adaptable to temperature, so it has higher requirements for ambient temperature. If the temperature is too low, it will become inactive and even go into hibernation. Usually, there should be a heating rod in the cylinder, and the internal temperature should be kept at about 28 ℃.
3. Feeding food: Gecko should be fed every three days. There are many food choices, such as bread worms, crickets, barley worms, Dubia cockroaches and so on. For larger breeds, or after females give birth, suckling mice are needed to supplement nutrition.
