However, if the feeding density is not very high, and all the small fish are raised, it is unnecessary to pump oxygen all the time. You can turn on the oxygen pump for 2 hours in the morning and afternoon, or even not turn it on at all.

1. Open the tank: The new fish tank usually needs to be opened, and a nitrification system should be established when opening the tank, so that the ammonia nitrogen in the water can be properly treated. The establishment of nitrification system is mainly nitrifying bacteria, which needs a certain amount of oxygen for its growth, so it needs to explode oxygen for a period of time. When the water quality changes from turbidity to clarity, it means that the nitrification system is completed.

2. Daily life: You can also turn on the oxygen pump when raising fish at ordinary times, but don't keep it on all the time. It is enough to turn it on for 2-4 hours every day. Only in summer or rainy weather, when the air pressure is relatively low, you need to turn it on for about 4-6 hours. In addition, if there are aquatic plants in the tank, it needs to be opened for 1 hour before nightfall.

3. Cure diseases: When a fish is sick, it needs to explode oxygen to ensure its breathing. If the oxygen pump is not turned on, some drugs will consume oxygen in the water after being put into use, which will lead to lack of oxygen for the fish, which is unfavorable to its recovery.
