2. Nitrate bacteria: The acting bacteria in the second stage of nitrification, which is also called nitrite oxidizing bacteria. Its function is to convert nitrite in water into nitrate. Although nitrate is not helpful to the growth of fish, it is good that it will not cause harm to its health. At the same time, the growth of aquatic plants needs a certain amount of nitrate, which is a very good nitrogen fertilizer and helps their growth.
