Snapping turtles have low requirements for environment and strong adaptability, so they have low requirements for containers. Artificial breeding crocodile turtles can survive well as long as the container space is sufficient. As for the materials of containers, they are not too demanding. If breeders consider ornamental, it is best to choose to raise in glass jars. Because the glass jar can not only enhance the ornamental value, but also better observe the change of water quality. If breeders don't consider ornamental problems, plastic pots and storage boxes can be used.
Although they don't have high requirements for containers, they have great requirements for the size of space, and breeders need to decide the size of containers according to their size.
2. How big a tank to raise crocodile turtlesAs mentioned above, crocodile turtles do not require much container, but they require higher space. If breeders want to raise them well, they should prepare a suitable container for them. Different species of crocodile turtle have different body lengths in adulthood, so they need different container sizes. However, breeders can prepare containers according to their size of 2-3 times, and if conditions permit, the size of containers can be 3-4 times their body length, so that they can have enough space to move. If you want to build some gentle slopes or balconies in the container, you should choose a larger container.
