The difficulty of raising snake guppies is not high. Because they have a high environmental adaptability, it is easier to survive in the artificial breeding environment. In the actual breeding, we need to pay attention to the four aspects of fish tank, water quality, water temperature and feeding.
1, fish tank: snake guppy on the fish tank material no requirements, with good light transmission of glass fish tank to raise it. The size of the fish tank should be determined according to the number of aquaculture. For example, if you want to raise about 50 snake guppies, you need to use a fish tank with a volume of about 50L.
2. Water quality: Snake guppies like weakly alkaline water with a PH value between 7.0 and 7.5. If the water is more acidic, they may not grow well. They also prefer water with a higher concentration of dissolved oxygen. If the water lacks oxygen, they can't grow well either.
3. Water temperature: They have certain adaptability to water temperature and can survive in water of 18-30 ℃. However, the most suitable temperature range for their growth is 22-24.degree.C. If conditions permit, try to keep the water temperature within this range. This can make them grow faster.
4. Feeding: They are not picky eaters. When breeding, it can be fed with artificial fish food, spinach, cucumber and other plant feed, as well as animal feed such as red worms, nematodes, water fleas and so on. The frequency of feeding should be maintained at once a day.
