The mosaic guppy is not a very difficult ornamental fish to raise. Because they do not require particularly high water quality, and have a certain ability to adapt to low temperature. As long as the breeding environment is not too bad, they can generally survive. But if we want to raise them well, we still need to take good care of them, and it is not enough to provide only the minimum growing conditions.
1. Water temperature: Mosaic guppies like water temperature of 22-25 ℃. It is recommended to use a heating rod to control the water temperature within this range. In winter, we should pay attention to keeping warm and try not to let the water temperature below 16 degrees Celsius. When changing water, we should also pay attention not to change too much water at one time, so as to avoid sudden changes in water temperature and make fish uncomfortable.
2. PH value: The PH value range suitable for the growth of mosaic guppies is 7.2-7.4. They do not like acidic environment, and should use weak alkaline water as far as possible when breeding. They can also adapt to neutral water with a pH of about 7.0. If there is no weak alkaline water, neutral water can also be used for aquaculture.
3. Dissolved oxygen: Mosaic guppies also need to breathe, so there should be a certain concentration of dissolved oxygen in the water where they are raised. Only in this way can they meet their growth needs. During cultivation, aquatic plants can be planted in the tank, and an oxygen pump can also be used to increase the dissolved oxygen concentration of the water body.
