The dry-raised time of small crocodile turtles should not be too long. Under normal circumstances, they can only last for 1-2 weeks. If the dry-raised time is too long, they may have the risk of death. If you want them to persist for a longer time, you can spray water regularly to keep the surrounding environment moist, so that they can persist for about 3 weeks at most. Small crocodile turtles are water turtles, and wild small crocodile turtles generally live in water. Usually, except for breeding and basking in the sun, they generally don't leave the water, so the dry breeding time of small crocodile turtles can't be too long.
2. How much is the water level appropriateThe water level height required by different growth stages of crocodile turtles is also different. Generally speaking, young snapping turtles need shallower water temperature. Because they are just born, their physical strength and swimming ability have not developed well, and they may choke or drown in deep water culture, the water level of young snapping turtles can be controlled at twice the height of their carapace.
As they grow in size, the height of water level can also be raised. When they are adults, the height of water level can be controlled at 2-3 times the height of carapace. If you want to raise the water level of breeding, you can build a balcony or gentle slope in the container, so as to ensure that they will float to the water for air and have a place to bask in the sun and rest.
