Although the stone golden turtle is a water turtle, it cannot live in deep water, and breeders need to decide the water level according to their body shape. In infancy, the water level of stone golden turtle can be consistent with the height of carapace. As they grow in size, breeders also need to raise the water level. When they reach adulthood, their swimming ability and physical strength will improve, and the height of water level can be 1-2 times that of carapace. If the breeder builds a balcony for them, the height of the water level can be raised relatively, but the maximum should not exceed 3 times the height of the carapace.
