It is best to prepare a larger land area so that they can have more space for activities. At ordinary times, it is best to give them the sun every day, which can promote them to absorb trace elements and kill bacteria on their carapace. However, the time for drying the platform every day should not be too long, just half an hour every day.

2. Appropriate water temperature and water quality: Yellow-edged closed-shell turtles like a higher water temperature, and breeders need to keep the water temperature between 22-26 ℃. When the temperature difference between spring and autumn is large, heating equipment should be used to ensure the appropriate temperature. In addition, breeders need to keep the water clean and fresh, so as to raise them better.

3. Feeding: Yellow-edged closed-shell turtles are not picky about food. Breeders can feed them with live bait together with vegetables and fruits, so as to ensure their adequate nutrition. Animal feeds suitable for them include small fish, shrimp and lean meat, while plant feeds suitable for them include cabbage, rape, cabbage, apples and bananas.

Yellow-edged turtles need to be warmed because they like to live in water temperature between 22-26 ℃. If the water temperature is lower than 20 ℃, their appetite and activity will decrease. If the water temperature is lower than 18 ℃, they will stop eating. When the water temperature is lower than 15 ℃, they will go into hibernation.
