1. Container: Yellow-headed side-necked turtles are relatively large in size and highly active, and usually like to swim around in the tank. Breeders need to prepare a larger container for them when breeding, so as to ensure that they can move normally.

2. Feeding: Yellow-headed side-necked turtles prefer plant feed, and breeders can feed them more tender leaves of vegetables, such as cabbage, cabbage, lettuce, cucumber, apple, banana, grape and so on. Although they like to eat vegetables, breeders can't feed them spinach and lettuce. In addition, breeders need to feed them some animal feed regularly to ensure their balanced nutrition.

3. Environment: Yellow-headed side-necked turtles don't have high requirements for environment. They like high temperature, but they can't accept low temperature. During farming, it is necessary to keep the water temperature at 24-28 ℃. They have high requirements for water quality and like clean and refreshing water. It is best for breeders to change water twice a week.

4. Sunbathing: Although they like to live in deep water, they also like to bask in the sun. Breeders need to build a balcony for them so that they can climb up and bask in the sun every day.

The yellow-headed side-necked turtle likes the water temperature between 24-28 ℃, which can only be reached in summer in most areas of China, so when the temperature is low, it is necessary to use a heating rod to keep the temperature constant. In addition, yellow-headed side-necked turtles do not need to hibernate, so in winter, breeders also need to keep the water temperature above 20 ℃ in order for them to live normally.
