The core turtles need to be warmed, because their origin is North America and South America with higher temperature, so their favorite water temperature is 25-30 ℃. If they are raised artificially, they need to be equipped with heating rods to keep the temperature constant. Because it is difficult to reach this temperature in three seasons except summer in China, and even in the south, it cannot be kept at 25 ℃ all the time in winter, so it is best to heat them when raising them artificially.
Juvenile turtles, in particular, are very sensitive to the change of water temperature. Breeders can keep the water temperature at 25 ℃ all the time, and keep warming in the first winter of their birth to prevent them from hibernating. This can prevent them from getting sick during hibernation.
2. How to raise the core turtleBesides the water temperature, the core turtle should also pay attention to the feeding environment and feeding. Although they are easier to raise, the breeder also needs to prepare a larger container for them when breeding, and build a drying platform in the container to give them a place to rest and bask in the sun.
When feeding, breeders should also pay attention to the diversity of food, and it is best to feed animal feed with plant feed, so as to ensure balanced nutrition. Their demand for food is not high, and breeders can feed some food for 2-3 days. The amount of feeding each time does not need to be too large, and it can be eaten within 10 minutes.
