The red-nosed shrimp is a small shrimp with a body length of 1.5-3.0 cm. Their growth rate is relatively fast, and it only takes about 13 hours for shrimp eggs to hatch after they are discharged into the water. It takes only 10-11 days to grow from the nauplius stage at hatching to the late larval stage. Their body color will change because of the environment and the food they feed, which is of high ornamental value.
The normal life span of the red-nosed shrimp is about 1.5-2 years. If the breeding environment is suitable, they can live for about two years, but if the breeding environment is poor and not suitable for their growth, then they may only live for 1-1.5 years. Therefore, when breeding, attention should be paid to adjusting water temperature and quality, and timely feeding, to provide them with a better environment. This can make them live longer.
The requirement of red-nosed shrimp for water temperature is not very high, but it is recommended to control the water temperature within 22-28 ℃ in actual culture. This temperature is more suitable for their growth. If the water temperature is too low, their appetite and activity will be reduced, and their growth rate will be slower. In addition, if you want to breed, it is recommended to control the water temperature within 27-28 degrees Celsius. In this range of water temperature, they are more likely to mate and reproduce.
