The flower snail is very easy to raise. The cultivation of flower snails needs to meet their needs in temperature, pH, food, salinity, water quality and other environments.
1. Temperature: Flower snails can adapt to the water temperature of 14 to 33 degrees, but it is best to control the temperature of flower snails between 23 and 30 degrees, at this time, flower snails are most active and grow fastest.
2. Water quality: It is necessary to ensure that the water body is clean and pollution-free in the breeding process. Only in this way can the snails grow healthily.
3. Salinity: Flower snails also have certain requirements for salinity. If the salinity is lower than 12, flower snails cannot survive. Therefore, it is better to control the salinity between 14 and 34 when breeding flower snails.
4. PH: Like other snails, flower snails are more adapted to living in alkaline environment. Therefore, it is necessary to control the pH value of water between 8.0 and 8.4 when cultivating flower snails. Alkaline environment is more conducive to the growth of their shell.
5. Food: The most important thing for raising flower snails is to have enough food. Flower snails do not require much food, they can be placed in ponds and ditches with silt substrates, and they can eat algae and some sediments in the water. If flower snails are cultured in tanks, they need to be provided with adequate nutrition. They can often be fed some fish food, shrimp food, snail food, and even fish and shrimp carcasses, of course, some food residues they also eat.
