The traffic light fish grows slowly. They can generally live for 2-3 years, but it takes about 6 months from hatching to reach sexual maturity and reproductive ability, and 8-10 months to reach the optimal reproductive age. Their reproduction is also more difficult, and there are more stringent requirements for environmental factors such as water temperature, water quality and light. If they can not provide a suitable breeding environment, they can not reproduce normally.
1. Water temperature: If you want to reproduce traffic light fish, you need to control the water temperature between 25-26 ℃. If the water temperature is very high or very low, they will not breed.
2. Water quality: Weakly acidic soft water should be used for breeding traffic light fish. Specifically, the PH value of water should be maintained between 5.6 and 6.8, and the GH value should be maintained between 1 and 3.5. Ordinary tap water can not be directly used as breeding water, it needs to be distilled before it can be used as breeding water.
3. Light: When breeding traffic light fish, it is necessary to ensure that there is no strong light in the environment. Therefore, when breeding traffic light fish, they usually use special breeding tanks in low-light environment to breed.
4. External conditions: Traffic light fish are very timid. If there is a loud sound in the environment or the environment changes greatly, they will not breed. Therefore, if we want to breed them, we need to keep the environment quiet and stable.
