The honeybee horn snail has a strong survival ability and is relatively easy to raise. Although it belongs to the soft water snail, that is, it grows in the estuary of the river, it can also adapt well and survive in soft water and fresh water. As long as some basic conditions are met, honeybee horn snails will be well cultured.
The raising of honeybee horned snails needs to meet the following basic conditions:
1. Water temperature: The best water temperature for raising honeybee horn snails is 22 to 27 degrees, at which honeybee horn snails are most active.
2. Acidity and alkalinity: It is best to keep the PH value between 6.8 and 7.8.
3. Water hardness: The honeybee horn snail can survive in soft water, but it is not the most suitable living environment for it. The honeybee horn snail in soft water is prone to the problem of shell dissolution, and the beautiful patterns on the shell are easy to disappear and lose ornamental value. Therefore, it is better to use hard water to ensure that there is calcium in the water.
4. Water quality: a relatively clean environment is required. Pay attention to changing the water. Some ornamental shrimps can be raised in the tank. When the water quality has problems or needs to be replaced, their swimming frequency will increase rapidly.
5. Food: The honeybee horn snail likes to eat algae, especially the green spot algae in the grass tank. But when algae is insufficient, honeybee horn snails also eat fish food, shrimp food and so on. Pay attention to the situation in the tank and supplement food in time.
6. Environmental changes: The honeybee horn snail is more sensitive to the changing environment. Therefore, it is best to put the honeybee horn bought from outside in the water and then put it in the tank.
