1. Daily opening: Usually, if the fish tank is filtered, the oxygen itself is enough, so it is not necessary to open the oxygen pump all the time. It is OK to open it for 2-4 hours every day. If it is summer or rainy weather, dissolved oxygen will be reduced, the time to open the oxygen pump will be increased, generally 4-6 hours a day. If there are water plants in the tank, it will be opened for an additional 1-2 hours in the evening.
2. Cultivation of bacteria: a nitrification system needs to be established for fish farming, and nitrifying bacteria are aerobic bacteria. If you want to make them grow and reproduce rapidly, you need to carry out explosive oxygen. Generally, after putting nitrifying bacteria into the fish tank, it is necessary to turn off the light and oxygenate, which takes about a day.
3. Treatment: When the fish is sick, it is necessary to stop feeding and oxygenate in time. The purpose of oxygenation at this time is to speed up metabolism, so that the fish can expel harmful substances and help it recover better. Moreover, medication is needed when treating diseases, and drugs will increase oxygen consumption and need to be supplemented appropriately.
