The Thai fighting fish has a certain ability to resist the cold, but it is a tropical fish after all, living in a warm environment all the year round. It can withstand the low temperature for a short time. However, if they live in a low temperature environment for a long time, they will cause different degrees of damage to their physical functions. When the temperature is below 15 C, it may also lead to the death of fish.
In winter, the temperature is generally around 0 ℃, which has exceeded the minimum tolerance temperature of fish. Therefore, the temperature should be strictly controlled in winter. And the temperature drops quickly in winter, when the temperature is about to reach 18 C, it is best to take warming measures. If the temperature does not rise in time and drops below 15 C, the fish will freeze to death.
Thailand fighting fish can accept the temperature range of 18 ~ 27 ℃. When raising them in winter, it is better to control the water temperature above 20 C. If the temperature can reach 20 deg C, heating is not needed. When the water temperature drops to 20 C and there is a downward trend, it is necessary to heat the fish tank. A warming device such as a heating rod, a heating pad, or the like may be used. These devices can also keep the water temperature constant after raising the temperature, so as to avoid the discomfort caused by temperature fluctuations to fish.
