Most fish are not color blindness. This animal's perception of light and color is also related to their living environment, for fish near the surface, the world they see is often colorful, while fish living in the deep sea, because they can see less light, so the color is often very single.
1. Vision: The visual ability of fish is not strong. Its eyes have no elasticity and cannot adjust the curvature. It can only adjust the distance between the retina and the bulge behind the lens. Therefore, it can only see things near clearly. However, with the help of light refraction in the water, it can also find the situation above the water surface. This is helpful for them to avoid natural enemies.
2. Smell: There are two holes in the snout of the fish. This one is similar to the nostril. Inside is its olfactory sac. Unlike terrestrial animals, which rely on olfaction to sense volatile gases, it can sense the changes of amino acids in water, thus judging the water quality and the location of food.
3. Hearing: Fish also have hearing. Although they can't see their ears, they actually hide on both sides of their heads and contain otoliths. For fish, the range of hearing is not large, and the main role of otoliths is to maintain balance.
4. Taste: Fish has a very keen sense of taste, because its taste buds are not only in the mouth, but also in many places. For fish, it needs to swallow and spit repeatedly when it eats, so as to distinguish whether it is edible or not. After training, they can distinguish sweet, sour and bitter tastes.
