If the fish tank does not keep fish, it can also be empty. It should be noted that empty fish tanks can not be exposed to the sun, because the light will affect its life, so that later reuse is prone to leakage. Moreover, if you reuse the tank, you should disinfect it, otherwise the bacteria contained in it may affect the survival of the fish.
1. Disinfection and sterilization: Before preparing to open a fish tank that has been vacant for too long, you must first disinfect it. Compared with the new vat, the old vat does not have the taste of glass glue, so it does not need to be aired for a few days to remove the smell. The old jar is fil with water, potassium permanganate is pour into that old jar and then the old jar is soaked for 1 to 2 hours, and then the old jar is drained with wat and cleaned by clean water until the potassium permanganate is completely washed away.
2. Open the equipment: After the fish tank is disinfected, fill it with water first, and then turn on the oxygenation pump for 24 hours. After a day of oxygenation, the next step is to open the various equipment, mainly heating rods and filtration, heating rods can adjust the water temperature, help the growth of fish, filtration can improve water quality.
3. Nitrification system: After all the equipment can operate normally, the nitrification system will be established. At this time, as the water temperature has risen, the water in the tank will be a little turbid. Nitrifying bacteria need to be added, and oxygen explosion needs to be continued. In this way, it is convenient for the reproduction of nitrifying bacteria, and then the water body will gradually become clear.
4. Putting fish into the tank: After the nitrification system is established, the tank is basically opened to raise water. However, to be on the safe side, it is best to put a few fish into the tank to test the water. If the fish can survive in the tank for half a month, it means that the water is all right. If you fall ill or die during the period, you need to re-open the tank to raise water.
