The giant musk turtle is a kind of musk turtle. The difficulty of raising musk turtles is generally relatively low, and the giant musk turtles are no exception. Their adaptability to the environment is good, and they are not very sensitive to the environment. In the process of breeding, they are generally not easy to die, so it is more suitable for novice breeders to breed them. However, the giant musk turtle in the juvenile stage, the degree of sensitivity to the environment will be higher, at this time a little more attention can be.
1. Container: The size of the giant musk turtle is not too big, and their size after they grow up is only a dozen centimeters, so the container does not need to be too big, but if the number of breeding is more than one, then it is also necessary to provide them with sufficient space for activities. The container can also be placed on a sunning table or a tall stone, so that the giant musk turtle can easily climb up to bask in the sun.
2. Feeding: The giant musk turtle is an omnivorous turtle, and all kinds of food can be eaten. Specifically, meat includes beef, chicken, small fish, vegetables include spinach, tomatoes, fruits include bananas, apples, and cereals such as rice. When the giant musk turtle is growing faster, it is best to feed them every day.
3. Water temperature: The surrounding water temperature will affect the growth and development of the giant musk turtle. Therefore, when they are in the growth stage, the water temperature can be adjusted to more than 20 degrees, if not suitable, they can be heated artificially. In winter, the water temperature can be maintained at about 10 degrees, so that they can naturally enter the state of hibernation.
4. Water quality: Water quality conditions are also very important. The water quality should not be too dirty, or some bacteria will grow in it. It is necessary to change the water in the container regularly, about once a week or so, and about one third of it is changed each time.
