Golden flower arhat is characterized by the forehead bead forward, and no forehead spot. Eyes are blue or gold, red is less common. The dorsal and anal fins are usually not stringy, and the caudal fin is fan-shaped. Its body is square, the ink spot on the body is very few, generally close to the rear, the color is very light. There are many varieties in this line, including Rainbow Golden Flower, Red Horse Golden Flower, Magic Golden Flower and Red Golden Flower.
Pearl Arhat is currently the most common strain. This line is genetically stable, easy to breed and improve, and has a high rate of head protrusion. Its forehead beads are raised and have forehead spots. The eyes bulge outward and the rims are red. The filaments of the dorsal and anal fins are long and can reach about one third of the body. The caudal fin is rounded or lance-shaped, often with collapses and folds. In addition, its color is gorgeous, the common guests are Hongyun, red diamond, blue diamond, full silver, gold pearls and so on.
This is a new strain bred from the original Arhat, which was born in Malay. Its frontal bead is inclined forward, usually fleshy or semi-water head, red eye ring, dorsal fin and anal fin are not pulled, caudal fin is between round and fan-shaped. The color of its body is red before and gold after, and the sequins on its body are different, some are thin, some are thick, and some are dotted.
Desas strain is relatively easy to identify, it is improved from the large bream Texas leopard hybrid, body length between 20-30 cm, the forehead is relatively low, but there is a trend of forward, eyes are mostly blue and gold, dorsal fin anal fin does not pull wire, tail fin is fan-shaped, body called flat, back higher. After sexual maturity, the cyan spots on the body will become red pearl stripes, which look very dazzling.
Huajiao strain is characterized by ink spots and beads, while the scales also have metallic luster. Usually the body color is bright, the shape is long, there is a thick line in the middle, the tail fin is relatively flat.
